While Changemakers, Social change agents… innovates to make a Positive social change that improves the lives of individuals and communities in our society, others innovate to continue making negative change subtly while we Changemakers struggles through the circle. They innovate to get us to question and reject who we are, our identity, what we must be to be beautiful, what our worth is based on and what we must be to be among/belong while they continue to innovate and smile to the bank.
It is never ending….
And this brings me to my ponderings, when does it become a negative innovation? Can Positive innovation fight Negative Innovation or isn’t innovation meant to be INNOVATION!
Many products and services that are seen as and confirmed dangerous to health are being innovatively improved to be accepted and demanded. Humans sit down to come up with a product that will make me hate my appearance, yes it is innovation according to the definition above because when they create it, they get us to want and yearn for it through their marketing gimmicks and that justifies the customer need.
I guess we can only conquer that negative innovative influence with a positive innovative influence. Tough one yet doable…
We can stand for who we are and what we believe in being Body COnfident and knowing very well that most innovation, especially around beauty and lifestyle, may come later in life with some painful outcome.
